RE-HOME MOBILE PHONES
The Green Machines project target a wider group for re-homing
Edition 01
Summer 2006
Project is becoming quite a success story,
Whilst
the project has only been running for a little over 2 month's, It has become apparent that people are becoming much more enviromentaly
aware. To be honest i am overwhelmed with the enthusiasm people are showing to the Green Machines project.Although the project
does not seek to recieve machines from big business we have already had to call a halt to advertising.
Within the
first two months we have re-homed 10 computers (which considering on some occasions it can take 3 to make 1) is quite astonishing.
The Project was originally going to be a small hobby for me but because of it's success thus far I have decided to
try and extend the re homing program to reach Comunity group's, Charity organisations and now Hospital Departments and wards.
So if you have a suggestion for possible groups Please get in touch.
PLEASE REMEMBER... Green Machines aim
to provide Free machines when ever possible, however on some occasions we have to ask for a nominal fee in order to pay for
licensing of operating systems (this enables us to supply legal machines). Green Machines are NOT a Charity and therefore
cannot recieve any cash donations.
Green Machines DO NOT make any charge for work carried out on computers. We cannot
accept a machine for a repair and return, We do not claim to be able to retrieve data from faulty machines so please do not
ask us to do this (if you have data you would like kept please remove the Hard Drive and seek retrieval yourself.
We
would like to appologise for any conffusion over this rule within the first few months of the project being in operation.
Green Machines also undertake to repay any postage cost's if equipment is sent to us only if this is agreed in advance.
THANKYOU. I would like to say a huge personal thankyou to all those that have donated equipment, offered help
and taken the time to leave feedback, Without you guys this simply would not be possible. Recycling does not belong to any
one person, it is Global responsibility and we all have our part to play. I would love to see this project grow and give everybody
the chance to contribute.
Thankyou to all the wonderful people on freecycle www.freecycle.org who have
really pulled out the stops when appeals have been made.
Kindest Regards and best wishes to you all, John
